Mrs. Lucy C. (Fuller) Strickland passed to her reward Tuesday morning, Sept. 29, 1947 at the home of her son. John M. Strickland, Rienzi, Route 1, Alcorn County, Mississippi. Mrs. Strickland suffered from a heart ailment for more than two years.

Mrs. Strickland was born March 27, 1874 in Tippah County, Mississippi to John D. Fuller and Frances (Phillips) Fuller.

Funeral services were held at Antioch #2 Baptist Church of which she was a member. Burial followed in Antioch #2 Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mother of four sons, John M. Strickland, Matthew A. Strickland, Pearl Strickland and Olen Strickland; Four daughters, Minerva Annie (Strickland) Pannell, Ellen Strickland, Cynthia Strickland and Sallie L. (Strickland) Killough.

Mrs. Strickland is survived by two sons, John M. Strickland of Rienzi, Route 1 and Matthew A. Strickland of Sylvarena, Mississippi Route 2; four daughters, Mrs. Minerva A. (Strickland) Pannell of Walnut, Mississippi; Mrs. J. M. Byrd of Truman, Arkansas; Mrs. Sallie L. (Strickland) Killough of Corinth, Mississippi, Route 4 and Mrs. J. E. Sutherland of Louisville, Mississippi; One sister, Mrs. Ella (Fuller) Lancaster of Corinth, Route 4.
