Age 84. Died at home of son, Ira at Archbold, OH. Born in Canada, naturalized citizen. Retired minister & farmer, lived in this area about 20 years. Survived by 2 other sons, Cyrus of Ithaca, MI & Arthur of Wadsworth; 16 grand & 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph; sister. Burial, Lower Mennonite Cemetery. Predeceased by wife, son, Alvah; daughter, Ida.

Christian was born the son of John & Anna(Gingrich) Buerge in the province of Ontario ,Canada on August 25-1863. He became a naturalized citizen of the U. S. and became a member of the (Holdeman) church of God in Christ Mennonite and on February 9-1889 he married Clara Wiggers and to this union 6 children were born.

son; Cyrus w. 1894-1971 born in Reed City, Michigan
son; Ira w. 1896- 1982 born in Mancelona, Michigan
daugther; Ida Edith 1901 born in Mancelona,Michigan
son; Arthur Edward 1906-1974 born in Paris, Michigan
On April 2- 1908 he was ordained as a minister at Reed City Michigan. When first married they lived in Missouri, then moved to different parts of Michigan in 1912 they went to Kansas to visit intending to move to British Columbia but changed his mind and moved to Harrison,Michigan they lived there till 1926 when they moved to Medina County, Ohio.
Christian was know as a patient, kind,understanding man.He spent his life as a farmer and minister of the gospel where ever he went. After the lose of his beloved wife Clara on September 19-1942 he went to live with his son Ira in Archold,Ohio then on Febuary 17-1948 he passed away at the age of 85 years 5 months and 23 days.
