Mrs. Clara M. Hewitt, 83, wife of the late Joseph Hewitt, died Saturday January 2, in the home of a daughter Mrs. Harry E. Mabie, 112 Greenfield Ave. SW, Canton. A native of Carroll County, Mrs. Hewitt had resided in Canton for 23 years. Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Mabie and Mrs. Beulah Stockton of Canton; a sister, Mrs. Julie Wright of Essex, Maryland; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Schneeberger parlors at Canton and burial was made in Grandview Mausoleum at Carrollton.
