Walter attended New Hope Lutheran Church in Spring Mills. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, past president of the Spring Mills Cemetery Association and a member of the Gregg Township Fire Co., the 572nd AAA Battery D Battalion, the Spring Mills Senior Citizens, the Black Panther Riding/Camping Club and the Penns Valley Health and Welfare Association. Walter enjoyed camping and fixing clocks.
In addition to his wife, Walter is survived by one son, Steven Stirrett of Spring Mills. Walter was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Albright.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at New Hope Lutheran Church in Spring Mills on Thursday, March 20, from 6-8 pm . The funeral will be held at the church on Friday, March 21 at 10:30 am with Pastor Michael Price officiating. Walter will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Spring Mills.
