North Ogden – Clyde Strong Campbell, 75, of 206 E. 2600 N., died Thursday evening in an Ogden nursing home.
Mr. Campbell was born Sept. 10, 1894, in North Ogden, a son of Scott W. and Lucinda Strong Campbell.
On Sept. 29, 1915, he was married to Mabel Estella Warren in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He was a lifelong resident of North Ogden and had been a fruit farmer and blacksmith.
He was a member of the North Ogden 1st LDS Ward and a high priest in the Ben Lomand Stake. He served a mission to Canada and was ward clerk in the North Ogden 1st Ward for 48 years. He had also been active in YMMIA, Sunday School and as a ward teacher.
He was a member of the Weber County Farm Bureau and North Ogden Fruit Growers Association.
Surviving are his widow, one son and one daughter, Reed W. Campbell, North Ogden; Mrs Wesley (Mildred) Tale, Reno, Nev.; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one brother, Artie Campbell, Pleasant View.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in North Ogden 1st Ward Chapel, 626 E. 2600 N., with Bishop Calvin J. Heiner officiating.
Friends may call at the Myers Mortuary Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the ward chapel in North Ogden one hour prior to services. Burial in the North Ogden Cemetery.
