JUMPING BRANCH — Emma Lee Givens, 76, of Jumping Branch went home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 12, 2010, at the Summers Co. Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.

JUMPING BRANCH — Emma Lee Givens, 76, went home to be with the Lord, Monday July 12, 2010, at the Summers County Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.

Born May 9, 1934, in Avis, she was a daughter of the late Brown Martin and Agnes Adkins of Hinton. She was a member of the Bluestone Baptist Church at Jumping Branch, a homemaker, member of the Jumping Branch Nimitz CEOS, a dedicated volunteer for Walk For Her Lifetime and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by an infant son, James Givens.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 60 years, George M. Givens Jr.; one daughter, Donna Baker and husband Dale of Jumping Branch; one son, George Givens III and wife Patricia of Belle, W.Va.; three grandchildren, John David Mullins of Charleston, George Givens IV and wife Renee of Belle, and Jennifer Kozak and husband Trevor of Campbells Creek, W.Va.; three great-grandchildren, Tristan Givens, Hunter Kozak and Alexandra Mullins; and one brother James "Junior" Martin of Hinton.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010, at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Bill Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz.

Friends may call at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy may be made to Walk For Her Lifetime (Summers County Breast Cancer Walk), c/o Pauline Meadows, P.O. Box 10 Nimitz, WV 25978.
