She was born February 18th, 1908 in Ste. Genevieve, the daughter of Joseph T. Lurk and Bridget Kiefer Lurk.
She married Gilbert A. Sutterer. He preceded her in death.
She married Clarence Schindler. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son, John Sutterer of Perryville and two daughters, Mary Ann Moore of Perryville and Betty Formhals of Fenton.
She is also survived by two stepsons: Duane Schindler of Perryville and Allen Schindler of St. Louis.
She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, two sisters and a granddaughter.
She was a clerical worker at the Association of the Miraculous Medal in Perryville.
She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Ladies of Charity, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and was also an ombudsman.
Visitation was held Sunday and this morning at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral for 95-year-old Leona M. Schindler of Perryville was held at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial was in the Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin Fausz C.M. officiated.
