Larry was the fifth of eleven children born to David Piotrski and Mary Catherine Pape. On 23 Nov 1963 he married Bernice Fehr and they had two children, Leann and Michael. Larry was an avid golfer, card player and horse-racing fan. He retired from the CSX Railroad (the former L&N Railroad).
