On May 25th, 1899, Ada wed William Lee Moody, who raised cattle near Post Oak. They had 8 children, an infant son sadly living only 11 days, James Hayden, Essie May, William Ivin, Myrtie Leanore "Peggy", Ora Ila, Chesley Benton "C.B.", and Jefferson Warren. In 1917, the family moved to near Jermyn, also in Jack County. William passed away in 1922, and Ada never remarried. She moved her family to Mineral Wells, Texas, where she had cousins living, and lived there for the next 30 years. She was living with her daughter Peggy and son-in-law Fred Breithaupt, in Freer, Texas, when she passed away, and was interred at Shiner, Lavaca County, Texas, on December 4th.

The date of birth on her headstone (and her death certificate) is incorrect. Her birthday was on July 23, which I have written in her own hand, as well as personal knowledge of.
