Mrs. Mae Bond Bertagnolli

Requiem high mass for Mrs. Mae Bond Bertagnolli, a former
teacher in the Denver public schools, will be sung at 9 a.m.
Monday in Immaculate Conception Cathedral. Rosary will be
said at 7: 30 p.m. Sunday in the Moore Mortuary. Burial will be in
Mt. Olivet.
Mrs. Bertagnolli died Thursday in St. Luke’s Hospital. She lived
at 429 E. 14th ave. She was 78.
Born in Las Vegas, N.M., Mrs. Bertagnolli spent her early life in
Kansas. She married Frank W. Bertagnolli in 1907 in Central City.
She moved to Denver in 1917 following the death of her husband.
She taught in the Denver public schools and was a school
librarian for 27 years, teaching at McKinley, Garden Place and
Lincoln Elementary Schools until her retirement in 1946.
Mrs. Bertagnolli was a member of the Cathedral Altar and
Rosary Society, Civic Garden Club, Cinema Club, Denver Press
Council, Denver Teachers Club, Colorado Educational Assn.
and the National Retired Teachers Assn.
Surviing are a daughter, Mrs. Louise Purdy of Denver, a son,
C.M. Bertagnolli of Albuquerque, and three grandchildren.
