Nancy D. Courson, who states DOB as 9/6/1825 has a CSA pension application on line under Appling Co. She says she married John J. Courson in 1848. He enlisted in August of 1863 and served with Company I of the 4th GA Cavalry. In February or APril of 1864, he was wounded at the Battle of Olustee , Florida (Near Lake City in Northern Florida). He was sent to the hospital and died of his wounds. She never heard from him or saw him again.
She sacrificed much!
