They moved to Oconto, WI. Jim worked as a conductor on the railroad and his railroad pass enabled him to take his large family to their cottage in Escanaba, MI. All the children were reared in Milwaukee and attended St. Leo's. Jim and Theresa moved from the inner city to rural home were they cared for a large garden and raised chickens.
