FERN MARIE LAURENCE, 91
ROCKFORD - Fern Marie Laurence, 91, of Rockford was called home to be with the Lord at 9:43 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2010, in OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. She was born Sept. 20, 1918, in Davis Junction to Otto and Han-nah (Brink) Pohl. A lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She worked at Eagle Foods for more than 30 years. Fern's church and family meant everything to her. Survivors include sons, Gerald (Jane) Laurence, Lance (Linda) Laurence and Gregg (Vicky) Laurence; daughter, Penny (Bob) Nunez; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Agnes Flemming, Francis Davis and Lois Bridge; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by five sisters; and one brother.

Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 29, in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4881 Kilburn Ave.; Pastors David J. Thies and Larry R. Yaw will officiate. Visitation from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday July 28, in Julian-Poorman-Welte Funeral Home, 304 N. Fifth St. Burial in Big Mound Cemetery.
