Funeral services for Jackson H. Hilton, 87, of Provencal, Louisiana were held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, the Revs. Jim Elders & Luther Despino officiated. Burial followed in the Polly Mack Cemetery in Provencal, Louisiana.

Jackson, the son of Lee and Margaret Hilton was born May 26, 1923 in Mount Carmel, Louisiana. He passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at his residence in Provencal.
Mr. Hilton was a good Christian Man and has gone on to be with his Lord and Savior. He loved to hunt, the Natchitoches area and the outdoors.

He served over 30 years in the Navy and was awarded the Bronze Star; he always had a good war story to tell. He trained NASA Astronauts on underwater survival. He was the Western District Supervisor for the state Fire Marshall Office.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Edith Hilton of Provencal; son, Buddy MacFarlane of Otis; daughters, Karen Bonnette of Otis, Allyson Lustic of New Llano and Annette Moreland of Benton, Arkansas; nieces, Martha Yarbrough of Leesville, Sharon Moore of Baton Rouge and Glenda Stanley of Leesville; twelve grandchildren and twenty seven great grandchildren.
