Daisy "Alene" Adams Christensen
1914 - 2002

Alene Adams Christensen, age 87, of Provo, Utah, our mother, grandmother and friend, passed away February 4, 2002, at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo.

She was born September 24, 1914, in Orem, Utah, to George John and Temperance May Evans Adams. She married Vivian J. Christensen on June 24, 1932. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Utah Temple. Viv preceded her in death on January 27, 1996.

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint, Alene held many positions in both the Relief Society and Primary organizations. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and served as a chorister. She worked as a recreational therapist in a few facilities in this area. She loved to crochet, paint, wrote poetry and musical programs. She lived at Stonewood Manor in Orem for the last five years of her life.

Alene was survived by one son and three daughters: Val (Janice) Christensen of Springville; Peggy (Lin) Haslam of West Valley City; Jena V. (Doug) Day of Temecula, California; and Cindy Fowlkes of Orem; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, February 7, 2002 in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, Provo. Interment, Provo City Cemetery.
