Betty L. Hill, 75, of Lubbock departed this life Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004. She was born Aug. 14, 1929, in Fort Worth and was the devoted wife of John T. Hill. They exchanged wedding vows on March 18, 1950, at Vickery Church of Christ in Fort Worth. She was a faithful Christian and member of Greenlawn Church of Christ in Lubbock. For 35 years she taught Bible school and high school math at Coronado and Frenship high schools.

Throughout Betty's life, she loved traveling through Germany and Western Europe, where she and her husband volunteered on many mission trips. She was deeply loved by her three sons and one daughter, Tommy Hill and wife Isabel of Houston, Mike Hill and wife Amy of Lubbock, Tim Hill and wife Deborah of Lubbock, and Lisa Hill-Harrison and husband Rick of Little Rock, Ark.

Her grandchildren include Elizabeth Hill, Ben and Jesse Hill, Chelsea Steed and Sarah Hill, and Lucas Harrison. She is also loved by her brother, Liston Bryant and wife Ama of Burleson. She was a remarkable woman, beloved wife, patient mother and generous friend to all. Her spirit will live on through the many lives that she has touched.

Services were held Friday, Oct. 17, at Greenlawn Church of Christ with graveside services at Resthaven Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to the Children's Home of Lubbock.
