Mr. Albert was educated in New York. He served 14 years in the United States Army. He served in the South Pacific as commanding officer captain of B Company Artillery Battery 111th Field Artillery and A Company Norfolk Light Artillery Blue. He had been a lifelong member of Congregation Beth El.
Mr. Albert was preceded in death by his loving wife, Roslyn Forman Albert and a son, Arnold Albert. Survivors include his daughter, Bambi Kramer and her husband Andrew of Potomac, Md.; four grandchildren, Samantha and Stephanie Kramer, Jaclyn and Melanie Albert; a sister-in-law, Anna Rita Stern of Virginia Beach and a half brother, Alan Saunders of North Carolina. Mr. Albert is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, by Rabbi Susan Tendler and Cantor Gordon Piltch. The family will be sitting Shiva at the home of Anna Rita Stern, 3159 Silver Sands Circle, Apt. 101, Virginia Beach, Sunday until 8 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Congregation Beth El.
