STIVERS, G. Marie (McGuire) age 92, of Trotwood, Ohio passed away on July 12, 2010. She was born on November 13, 1917 in Ashland, KY and was the youngest of seven children. As a teenager she moved to Beckley, West Virginia. In 1938, she met and married Wayne Stivers; they had three children. Marie was a charter member of Crestview Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for more than 50 years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Marie is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Edmund Wayne Stivers, daughter Elaine Dieckman and parents Ulysses S. Grant and Rissie (Conley) McGuire. Survivors include: two sons and their wives, Philip and Joan Stivers of Pleasant Hill and David and Tori Stivers of Peachtree City, GA; nine grandchildren, Lisa Hall and Rod Dieckman of Cocoa, FL, Tracey Ranew of Palm Bay, FL, Tim Stivers and Teri Shearer of Troy, Tammy Midlam of Pleasant Hill, Pam Boutin of Duluth, GA, Karen Stivers of Milton, GA, and Grant Stivers of Orange, CA; eleven great-grandchildren, Adrienne Goolsby, Jordan Hall, Alexis Linderman, Isaac Ranew, Leah Stivers, Sarah Stivers, Heather Poland, Moriah Midlam, Ashley Shearer, Bruce Shearer, and Cole Boutin; and three great-great-grandchildren Ayden Poland, Tristan Goolsby, and Kellan Goolsby. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 16, 2010 at the Crestview Baptist Church (6600 Salem Ave, Clayton) with Pastor Gene Burke officiating. Interment will follow the service at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens in Brookville. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood).
