Killed in the line of duty Nov 25, 1935. He was an Anderson Police Department Patrol Officer.
Although not charged the suspects were beleived to have been the infamous Brady gang who also killed two other Policemen {Patrolman Richard Rivers of Indianapolis April 27, 1936 and Indiana State trooper Paul V Minneman May 27, 1937}
