Funeral services for Bill E. Mason of Mendenhall, Route 2, were held Wednesday afternoon from the Mendenhall Church of God with Rev. James E. Withers, Rev. Prestidge and Rev. Kyle officiating. Interment was in Mendenhall cemetery with Upton Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Mason, 66 years old, died Monday night at Simpson General Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was a retired employee of Willmut Gas Company and resided about two miles south of Mendenhall on the Macedonia road. He was a longtime resident of the Mendenhall area.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Addie Mason of Mendenhall, Route 2; six sons, Charlie and Bert Mason, both of Jackson, Paul and Gilbert Mason, both of Mendenhall, Claude Mason of Bald Knob, Ark., and Billy Mason of Tyler, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Sanders of Jackson; 20 grandchildren; three brothers, Ben Mason, Monroe Mason and Lem Mason, all of Mendenhall; two sisters, Mrs. Lee Grubbs, and Mrs. Lela Wiggington of Durant.
