DALTON -- Guy L. Snyder, 92, of Dalton, died Sunday, March 11, 2007, at Aultman Hospital in Canton. Services will be Wednesday, March 14, at 11:30 a.m. at Dalton Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Barbara Bartholomew officiating. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Westlawn Cemetery in Winesburg. Friends may call Tuesday, March 13, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home, 29 E. Main St., Dalton, or one hour prior to the services at the church. Guy was born Jan. 5, 1915, in Trail to Charles and Rosa (Haueter) Snyder and married Mae Hostetler on May 17, 1940. She survives. He was a resident of Dalton since 1942, formerly of Dundee, and was a member of Dalton Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed working with the farmers and breeding cattle, and retired from dairy farming in 1967. He was well known for artificial insemination of cattle until the age of 84. Surviving in addition to his wife, are children, Gerald Snyder of Lake Wapusun and Eileen (Arthur) Beery of Smithville; grandchildren, Michael Beery of Smithville, Clint (Anissa) Snyder of Shreve, Dwaine (Shelly) Beery of Smithville, Renee (Doug) Hile of Shreve, Bonita (Tony) Bowman of Dalton and Dawna (Eric) Kohr of Orrville; great-grandchildren, Vanna Shanner, Madison and Preston Snyder, Sharnise, Dorrice, Mariah, Katrina, Heather and Andrew Beery, Kendra, Rachael and Tonya Bowman, Adalina Kohr; a sister, Myra Oliver of Columbus; and brothers, Howard (Mary) Snyder of Dundee and Richard (Lauretta) Snyder of Stow. He was preceded in death by brothers, Irvin and Alvin Snyder and a sister, Florence Boles.
