Services are 11 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2008, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Glenvil with the Rev. Jeff Glawe officiating. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery at Edgar. Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Sunday at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel in Clay Center.

Vickie was born November 28, 1944, in Hastings, Neb., to Eldon and Shirley (Roth) Lambert. She received her education at Hastings High School.
After a short courtship, she married Dean Kennedy on August 20, 1965, and to this union, two children were born.
She was employed with Leverage Tools in Glenvil until they moved to Deweese where they made their home together.
She enjoyed gardening, dancing and spending time with
her children and grandson.
She is survived by her husband, Dean Kennedy of Deweese, Neb.; son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Ann Kennedy of Omaha, Neb.; grandson, Zach Kennedy of Deweese, NE.; step-grandchildren, Jonathan and Tyler Goodro of Omaha, NE.; and numerous aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Trish Kennedy.
