Removed from Gardner Township on 11-16-1930 with Nannie, John, and Cranmer Gardner.

Mrs. Mary C. Gardner, relict of the late John Gardner, died at her residence near Farmingdale yesterday morning, after a lingering illness of heart disease. Her maiden name was Mary C. Duncan and she was born on the 27th of March, 1810, in what is now Trimble county, Ky. She was united in marriage to Mr. Gardner in 1830, and removed with him to Sangamon county in 1833, where she continued to reside up to the time of her death.

She survived her husband about thirteen years, and seven children survive her - all grown. They are Hiram E., John P., James and William P., all of Gardner township; Mrs. John Berry, of Curran; Mrs. W. F. Hurt, of Pleasant Plains, and Miss Sallie. The family is one of social prominence and worth. Mrs. Gardner was a consistent member of the Christian church, was proverbial for her hospitality, and was justly held in high esteem by all who knew her, for her social and Christian worth. The funeral services will be held this afternoon, at the family residence.
