William Painter
White Hall, March 14 - William Painter, 84, died at 7:30 o'clock this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George W. Woods, near Hillview.
Decedent was born in High Street neighborhood, a son of David and Emily Garrett Painter. He was married twice, his first wife being Mary Heberling, who preceded him in death. Two children were born to them. David Painter of High Street, and Isaac, who preceded his father in death. Mr. Painter later married Mary Warren, and they celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary last October. Three children were born to them: Mrs. Delilah Cox, Mrs. George W. Woods and Samuel Painter, all of near Hillview. Also surviving are seventeen grandchildren twenty-six great grandchildren, one brother James Painter of this city; and two sisters: Mrs. Sylvester Edwards, White Hall; and Mrs. Elizabeth Taylor, of Missouri.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon at High Street Methodist church. Interment will be made in High Street cemetery.
