NORFOLK, VA. - Geraldine Wise Anderson, 78, died Nov. 9 in a Norfolk hospital of a heart attack. The daughter of the late Joseph S. Wise and Bertie M. Wise, Mrs. Anderson was a native of Stumpy Point, and resided most of her adult life in Norfolk.
She was the widow of Avery T. Anderson. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Norfolk. A switchboard operator, she retired from Cinclant and was recently an employee at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott for 5 years. Mrs. Anderson was a member and past vice-regent of the borough of the Norfolk Chapter D.A.R. and was a local artist.
Survivors include her 3 daughters: Gail A. Warner of Norfolk, Lois A. Clark of Virginia Beach, and Linda A Christian of Stroudsburg, Pa; her son, Tracy Anderson of Virginia Beach; her sister, Olga M. Keaton of Alabama; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; first cousins, Melba Hooper and Shirley Nixon.
A chapel service was held November 12 at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Charles K. Blalock. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
