ERNEST ARNOLD DIES HERE DECEMBER 20

Ernest C. ARNOLD, long-time resident of Steamboat Springs, passed away in the Alpine Meadows Home on Wednesday, December 20, 1972. He was 84 year old at the time of his death.

Born in Kearney, Nebraska on May 10, 1888, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George ARNOLD. He married Maude SMITH on March 01, 1962 in Grand Junction, Colorado. Mr. ARNOLD was a rancher until his retirement several years ago.

Surviving are his widow; one daughter, Shirley SIEDHOFF of Wichita, Kansas; two brothers, Irving ARNOLD of Steamboat and Walter ARNOLD of Grand Junction; and two grandchildren.

Services conducted by the Rev. Riley GRANT and the Rev. Ron DAVIS were held at the Root Mortuary Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 1972. Interment was in the Steamboat cemetery.

Mrs. Henry Zehner accompanied her husband, Henry, on the organ as he sang “The Old Rugged Cross” and “In the Garden.”

Pallbearers were Lloyd GILROY, Delano SCOTT, Gary KLINE, Don LUFKIN, Ronnie ZEHNER and Boyd ARNOLD.
