Laura Jane Stapp Malone, 86, daughter of Charles M. Stapp and Artie Mae Swearingin Stapp, was born July 13, 1919, at Fordland. She died July 18, 2005, at Mountain View.
She married Earnest Malone Nov. 2, 1943, at Springfield. They had four daughters.
Mrs. Malone was baptized at the Church of God of Prophecy in 1952.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; four brothers, Melvin, Lewis, Archie and Ellis Stapp; and four sisters, Gracie Hilsabeck, Bonnie Sellars, Opal Sharp and Marie Stapp.
Surviving are her daughters, Donna Kay Beasley of Steelville, Saundra Jean Cooley of Summersville, Patricia Ann Powell of Birch Tree and Betty Jane Hodge of Boise, Idaho; three sisters, Lois Greeno of Springfield, Kay Sellars of Tennessee and Della Neal of Farmington; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Services were July 22 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel in Summersville with the Rev. Randy Winemiller officiating. Burial was in the Summersville City Cemetery.
