He returned to Winterport where he married Joan (Spaulding) Bean, his spouse and best friend for the remaining 45 years of his life. He spent much of his early life working as an auto mechanic and at one time owned the Esso station in Winterport. He retired in 2000 after 22 years with L & I Atlantic of Bangor. His most en-joyable times were spent with family and friends. Nason en-joyed camping, snowmobiling, riding shotgun in the plow truck with his son and sharing a lot of good times around his pool. He will be remembered for his "Bean Burgers," Dar Specials," and his trademark call, "Hey, Hey, Hey."

He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan; children, Daniel and wife, Dianne, of Trabuco Can-yon, Calif., Cynthia and husband, Michael Frey, of Dixmont; Harold and wife, Marcia, of Orrington; Nason Jr. and fiancée, Barbara Huntley, of Winterport; Douglas and wife, Karen, of Hermon, Lisa and fiancé, Roger Preston, of Roque Bluffs; grandchildren, Aaron and Sarah Frey, Chad, Stacie, Erin, Victoria, Taylor-Rose, Merideth and Vanessa Bean, Paige and Kaiden Preston; and one great-grandson, Tyler Bean.
