Electrician's Mate Second Class Alexander was the son of Shirley and Bessie May Alexander. He was killed in action, along with all hands, onboard the American submarine USS Scorpion (SS-278), between January and March, 1944. Assumed to be the victim of a mine, the USS Scorpion was declared lost on 6 March 1944.
