OBITUARY- A. W. McCLAUGHRY

Alfred Weider McClaughry was born September 1, 1896 to Elsworth McClaughry and Cora Mae Weider on a farm in Pawnee county, Nebraska one mile north of the Clear Creek schoolhouse.

He later moved to the Cold Point vicinity where he attended school and grew to manhood. He ws married February 26, 1919 to Minnie Cochran and the couple continued to live in the Cold Point vicinity.

On February 3, 1924 they were blessed with twin babies, Bobby and Betty.

In 1938 they moved to a farm near Wolbach, Nebr. and lived there three years. In 1941 they moved near Omaha and continued farming until they retired in 1964 and moved to a home in Table Rock, Nebr. Mr. McClaughry passed away there on the morning of April 23, 1968.

He was a kind and loving husband and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was a member of the Table Rock American Legion Post, having served in the Army during World War I.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Minnie, of Table Rock, a son Bob of Kansas City, Mo., and a daughter, (Betty) Mrs. Eldon Murray of Ralston, Nebr.; six grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Flossie McClaughry.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 28 at 2:00 from the Wherry Chapel in Table Rock with the Rev. Ward Merritt officiating. Interment will be in the Table Rock cemetery.
