~~In Memory of James Davies~~
James "Jimmy" Davies was the youngest son of Robert Davies and Kathryn Irene (Fagird) Davies. Jimmy became ill with pneumonia at almost three years of age, and joined his baby sister in eternal rest. Myrna Jean Davies, who was born March 14, 1938, had succumbed to pneumonia on April 14, 1938. A few short years later on March 14, 1945 their young twenty-eight year old Mother, Kathryn Irene (Fagird) Davies passed away from leukemia, and joined her babies in heaven.
Left to grieve was Robert Davies beloved husband of Kathryn, and their two living children: Bobby, who was almost 9 years old, who knew about grief and death from losing a baby sister, Myrna, and his brother Jimmy whom he adored, then his wonderful Mother. His world was shattered, but he had an inner strength, and he felt he should look after his baby sister Linda, and he did. Linda was a baby less than a year old when her Mother died, but grew up feeling the emptiness and loss of not having her Mother in her life. Bobby (who was called Bob as he became older), and Linda were extremely close during those growing up years and still are very close now, 50 years later.
