Charles was born on Dec. 17, 1901 on the S.S. Nederland, as his mother, Christina Czedik, made the voyage from Hungary to the United States. He was named after the ship's Captain, which is the reason he has three middle names. The ship left from Antwerp, Belgium and arrived in Philadelphia, PA on Dec. 21, 1901.

Charles was the loving husband of Anne F. (Cotton) Czedik.

Charlie was a retired pipefitter for Union Local 537 in Boston.

He lived in Waltham for 60 years. He was a member of the National Society for the Preservation of Covered Bridges.

Charlie loved to ballroom dance!
