Donald A Oliver, 77, Anderson, died May 26, 1998, at St. John's Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born May 21, 1921 in Anderson, and lived in this area all of his life. He retired as a tool and die maker in 1983 from Delco Remy Division of General Motors.
He was a member of Whetstone Untied Church of Christ in Anderson. He was a member of Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge 77 F&AM and the Craft 84.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Velma L Ehrhart Oliver; son, Donald Keith and wife Linda Oliver, daughter Nancy Orebaugh and husband Bob, brother Hubert Oliver and wife Laura, sister, Mildred Mock of Memphis, Tenn., four grandchildren, Susie Samuelson and husband Jay of Auburn, Molly Orebaugh, Brent Orebaugh, and Katie Orebaugh and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roe and Myrtle (Merriman) Oliver, and a brother Roe A Oliver JR.
Services will be 10 am Friday at Robert D Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory, South Chapel, with Pastor Stephen Gettinger officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm. Thursday at the funeral home. Masonic services will be conducted at 7pm. Thursday.
