Floyd Clements

Floyd Clements, 78, Springville, died at 8:35 am at Dunn Memorial Hospital where he was admitted Feb 4. He had been ill for the past year.
Mr. Clements, a retired farmer, was born May 17 1892, in Martin County to Richard and Mary Jane Fisher Clements. He was married Nov 22 1911 to Clara Emaline Gee who preceded him in death April 15 1963,
He was a member of the Springville Church of Christ.
Surviving are one son, Ward A Clements, Springville, two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Marjorie) Allen and Mrs. William (Mary K) Stevenson, both of Springville, one nephew, Ernest Gerkin, of Oolitic, whom Mr. Clements reared; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren,and three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Wilking and Mrs. Merle (Mabel) Knight both of Bedford and Mrs. Roy (Pearl) Gore of Lawrenceberg, Ind.
Two sisters Cora Clements and Myrtle Bell and a granddaughter, Barbara Louden, also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Wednesday in Elmwood Chapel, Day and Carter Mortuary, with the Rev. Earl Ray Jones and Rev Harvey Powell officationg.Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
Friends may call at Day and Carter Mortuary after 4 pm Tuesday.
