She was the daughter of John Richmond Pelfrey and Beryle Jean (Hatton) Pelfrey.
Aunt Gladys had infantile paralysis on one side of her body, which made schoolwork and house somewhat difficult for her, but she never gave up trying.
She was survived by her parents; and siblings: Virgil Pelfrey, Ed Pelfrey, Demp Pelfrey, Henry Pelfrey, Americal Pelfrey-Griffith, Thelma Pelfrey-Brown, Robert (Raymond)Pelfrey, and Wathena Pelfrey-Castle.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Boone Pelfrey; and her brothers: Beau and Beulie Pelfrey.
