Albert John Hoffmann was born December 24, 1914 in Buffalo, New York to Charles and Emma (nee Gruettner) Hoffmann. He was the grandson of Johnann "John" Hoffmann and Pauline Hornung Hoffmann. He was brother of Edith and Dorothy.
He married Leora Leona Pettigrew on November 25, 1936. They had four daughters Dorothy, Diane, Donna and Delia. He retired from United Electric Motor, Inc where he was a motor repairman for 45 years.
He was past Master of Akron Lodge No. 527 F & AM, Buffalo Consistory A.A.S.R., Akron-Clarence Oddfellows Lodge No. 715 and Clarence Grange No. 892. He died March 18, 1985.
