Charles Elbert Arlint, son of John and Mary Arlint, was born at Atchison, Kansas the 20th of April, 1880 and departed this life, following a heart attack on the 9th of October, 1947, at the age of 67 years, five months and 19 days.

On October 15th, 1906 he was united in marriage to Margaret Budenbender and to this union six children were born: Patrick and Lawrence of Blue Rapids; Ira of Kansas City, Kansas; Albert of Frankfort; Charles of Portland, Oregon; and Mrs. Lawrence Pretz of Vermillion.

He spent most of his life in Marshall and Pottawatomie counties.

He was a kind and loving husband and father, and very fond of children; always willing to help others in need. He had a friendly disposition and acquired many friends.

He leaves to mourn his passing his devoted wife and children; three grandchildren, Leroy and Peggy Pretz, and Ronald Arlint; three brothers, Embrey and William of Charlo, Montana; Perry of Boicourt, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Elizabeth Church in Irving. Iternment was made in Greenwood Cemetery at Irving, Kansas. Pallbearers were six nephews of the deceased.

Card of Thanks:
We sincerely thank our friends and relatives for their many kinds acts and deeds, after the death of our beloved husband and father; for the beautiful floral offerings and many spiritual bouquets.
Mrs. Charles E. Arlint
Ira, Lawrence and Albert
Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Arlint
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Arlint and son
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Pretz and children.

(NOTE: Original burial in Greenwood. Transferred to Mount Calvary Catholice in 1959 per Greenwood sexton.)

(NOTE ON YEAR OF BIRTH: While his headstone and obituary show his year of birth as 1880, research on his siblings and family records show a birth year of closer to 1883. i.e. his older brother Emery's records show a birth year of 1880 (but is probably December, 1879 according to the April, 1880 census records). With Emery being born in December, 1879, it would be difficult for Charles Elbert to be born in April 1880. Also, his mother's Bible shows his birth year to be 1883 and 1st name as Elbert.)
