B. A. PHILLIPS PASSES AWAY THIS MORNING
Bertsel A. Phillips, 67, 2308 South E street, died at his home at 5 0'clock this morning following several weeks' illness.
Born Jan. 2, 1896, in Atlanta, he was the son of William and Florence Phillips.
He was married to Catherine Rees June 23, 1917.
He was a retired employe of Ventoura Copr., a member of St. Joseph's church, Eagles, V.F.W. and World War I veteran.
Survivors include: the widow; six children, Mrs. Alberta Vest, and Mrs. Vivian Lynas of Elwood; Mrs. Patricia Brown of Anderson, Mrs. Rita Fraley of Warsaw and George and Robert Phillips of Elwood; two sisters, Mrs. Letha Harting of Lahalia, Calif., and Mrs.
Elizabeth Miller of Elwood; a brother, Book A. Phillips of Elwood; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The body is at the Copher and Fesler funeral home where friends may call Friday.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
