Mrs. Florence Mae Brown, 72, died Monday morning, October 28, at Giles County Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Brown, wife of the late Gaious Brown, were held Tuesday afternoon, October 29, at 2 o'clock in the chapel of Carr and Erwin Funeral Home with the Rev. Horace Bass officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
A native of Giles County, Mrs. Brown was born March 3, 1896, the daughter of the late Andrew William Tomerlin and Addie Wilson Tomerlin.
Survivors include seven sons, John Robert Brown, Erskine Brown and Van William Brown, all of Giles County, Nathaniel Carter Brown, Marshall County, Paul Wayne Brown, and Thomas Edward Brown, Maury County, and Beamon A. Brown, Orlando, Fla.; six daughters, Mrs. Frank Clem, Cheatham County, Mrs. Charles Palmer, Mrs. John Fox and Mrs. Burt Smith, all of Giles County, Mrs. William Palmer, Nashville, Mrs. S. C. Chavmento, New Orleans, La.; three brothers, Myron Tomerlin, Lincoln County, Maurice Tomerlin and Malcolm Tomerlin, both of Giles County; four sisters, Mrs. Lucille Young, Mrs. Lillian Green, Mrs. Ruth Davis, and Mrs. Ruby Ingram, all of Pulaski; twenty-nine grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
