Like his father, Frank Lloyd Wright, John Wright was an architect and a toy designer. Wright invented Lincoln Logs in 1916, an idea he had conceived while in Japan, while working with his father on the Imperial Hotel. Lincoln Logs were inducted into the Toy Hall of Fame in 1999.
