HAMBY - Bobby Dean Gossett, 67, of Hamby, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, at a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hamby United Methodist Church with Janice Kahl and Doris Miller officiating. Burial will be in Hamby Cemetery directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Gossett was born in Brady, Tx., on January 6, 1933, and was a graduate of Cisco High School. He moved to the Abilene/Hamby area from Cisco forty-five years ago. He was a truck driver for Foremost Dairies. He married Darlyne Box in Abilene on November 23, 1956. Mr. Gossett was a member of Hamby United Methodist Church and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife of Hamby; two sons, Gregg Gossett of Brownwood and Gary Gossett of Abilene; and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 542 Hickory.
