Smithson, and a sister of Mr. R. H. Smithson and Mrs. Leonard T. Jones of Oconee and Mrs. John Welborn of Toccoa. She was born in Oconee, May 27, 1855 and was married to Mr. Brewer eleven years ago. She united with the Retreat church when quite young and had lived a model Christian life, and was universally liked by all whom she came in contact. " Keowee courier Dec. 24, 1902
