He was a custodial engineer, employed by the Quaker State Oil Refinery, Farmers Valley, PA for over 30 years, retiring in 1989. Mr. Abbey was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Smethport, and the American Legion; Bucktail Post #138, Smethport.
He is survived by 9 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers; Albert, Carl, Homer, William, and Iver. 5 sisters; Ruth Kennedy, Katherine Eckstrom, Alena Larson, Anna Abbey, and an infant sister.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport. Military honors will be accorded by the American Legion; Bucktail Post #138 of Smethport.
