Marjorie Ruth (Werntz) Rasmussen, age 90, of Laurie, Missouri, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010, at Laurie Knolls, in Laurie, Missouri.
Marjorie was born April 7, 1919, in Lakewood, Ohio, a daughter to Howard and Agnes Elizabeth (Hill) Werntz.
Marjorie was united in marriage to Owen Eugene Parmele (born May 16, 1918, in Ohio; a WW II US Army Air Corps veteran), who preceded her in death. She later married Harry Rasmussen, who also preceded her in death.
Marjorie and Harry owned and operated Museum Antiques in Lakewood, Ohio for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards, and reading. Marjorie was of the Catholic Faith, and attended St Patrick's Church, in Laurie, Missouri.
Marjorie is survived by one daughter, Marcia Thompson and husband, Ben, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; three grandchildren, Cathy Witter and husband, Jeff, of Winter Springs, Florida, Wayne Thompson and wife, Dawn, of Springfield, Missouri, and Sandy Small and husband, David, of Gladstone, New Jersey; eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great- grandchildren, along with several other relatives and friends.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, and husbands, Owen Parmele and Harry Rasmussen.
Funeral services were February 14, 2010 at the McGorray-Hanna Funeral Home in Westlake, Ohio. Interment was February 15, 2010 at Lakewood Park Cemetery in Rocky River, Ohio.
