L.W. Kaschner loved music. He could play the violin. He came over to the U.S. from defeated Germany shortly after WWI and the birth of his daughter - Ursula C.(Kaschner) Clark - born in Schoenebeck, Germany 7/26/1922 - and lived with relatives (Damrichs) in New Jersey & Chautauqua(White Hall), PA until he sent for his remaining family. He worked for Bethlehem Steel in PA and NY before he was hired by Babcock & Wilcox and moved to Barberton,OH. He retired to farm life where he built a huge barn and farmed in Salineville, OH. He passed away from a heart attack while building a new house in the hot August sun for his wife and himself across the street from his farm.
