Tangier, Ind. - Jesse Delp, 72, of Tangier RR, died Sunday evening, Aug 8 1976, in Vermillion County Hospital, Clinton.
Born Aug 23 1903 in Indiana, he was the son of Chancy and Margy Daughtery Delp. He was married in March of 1935 to Ima Lee Cole, who survives.
Mr. Delp was a high line construction worker.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Porterfield of Crawfordsville
a son, Charles B. of Crawfordsville; six brothers, Vernon of Cloverdale, Eston
of Cartersburg, Ind., Maurice of Tangier, Roy of Kingman, Gerald of Newport and
Troy of Mellott; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Cole of Foster and Mrs. Freda Baldwin of
Veedersburg; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Woodrow Funeral Home in
Kingman with the Rev. Luther Page officiating. Burial will be in Hicks Cemetery
near Perrysville. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday at the funeral home.
