Services for Benjamin Franklin Gurley Sr., Ada, will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in the First Free Will Baptist Church, Delbert Akin, pastor, will conduct rites and burial will be in Lightning Ridge Cemetery. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Gurley died Tuesday in an Ada hospital. He was 81. He was born in Bonham, Texas, July 30, 1889, son of William S. and Bell Styurp Gurley.
He was married to Lillie Scholfield in Magnum, December 9, 1909. She died December 31, 1965.
Mr. Gurley was a member of Odd Fellows Lodge.
Surviving are six sons, B.F. Jr, Leon and Jess, all of Ada, all of Ada, Alva, Seneca, Kansas, Matthew, Dallas, and Euel, Baldwin City, Kansas; 22 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Sam J. and Jim, both of Ada
