Melvin Jaschinski, 95, of Sheboygan, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010 at St. Nicholas Hospital. Melvin was born on June 21, 1915 in Sheboygan to the late Ambrosius and Emilie (Beiersdorf) Jaschinski.
On June 4, 1938, he married the former Agnes Ersle at Ss. Cyril and Methodius. She preceded him on May 21, 1982.
He was the owner of Mel's Electric Repair Shop. Melvin enjoyed playing cards, gambling and fishing.
He was a longtime member of SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Meyer, Plymouth and Nancy (Benjamin) Seykora, Tehachapi, CA; three grandsons, Jeffrey (Kathy) Jaschinski, Verona, Dean (Linda) Gurholt, San Diego, CA, Darryl (Heather) Gurholt, San Diego, CA; seven great-grandchildren, Nathan, Erik, Anthony, Caitlin, Daniel, Ian and Kaylie. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Agnes, he was preceded by four brothers, five sisters; one son-in-law, Jim Uraynar; and a special friend, Agnes Wolf.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 822 New Jersey Avenue, with the Rev. Michael Dineen officiating. Burial will follow at Greendale Cemetery.
