Carrie Mae Black, 98, a lifelong resident of Rochester,NY transitioned peacefully on July 25, 2010 at Monroe Community Hospital.
Carrie Mae spiritual endeavor was to "work hard and enjoy life to the fullest, don't hurt yourself and try not to hurt anyone else." Carrie Mae's life revolved around her family and friends. She continuously encouraged and supported her family and was a great advocate for all those she loved. She was an avid card player and loved bowling.
Carrie Mae was predeceased by her parents Dixie and Fannie Mae Black, her sister Mary D. Bray, her daughter Agnes Lorraine Piotter, and her grandchildren Lawrence Piotter, Dianne Piotter and Gregory Piotter. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Richard E. (Peter Black) Willis (Sue) and Charles R. Willis (Gwen); 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; 14 great great grands; close friend Dorothy Ravenell and family.
In accordance with Carrie Mae's wish, her body has been donated to the University Of Rochester Medical School for research purposes.
