Services were held for Henry J. Mahler, 75, of Orchard, at 11:30 a.m. February 25, with Rev. Greg Loganbauch officiating.
Mr. Mahler was born at Hull, Iowa on April 30, 1887. He was reared at Orchard. He was a retired Southern Pacific Railroad employee.
Mr. Mahler is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Mahler of Orchard; one daughter, Mrs. J.P. Wimberly of Aqua Dulce; two sons, Fred L. Mahler of Huntsville and Henry R. Mahler of Houston; two stepsons, Alfred Krc of La Porte and Walter Krc of Orchard; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Thomas and Mrs. Mata Kemp of Houston; four grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers were Balke Mahler, Marion Mahler, Leon Mahler, and Ray Priest. Pallbearers were Lawrence Walger, Charles Sager, Fred Walger Jr., R.F. King, Johnnie Krenek, and Wilbert Dernehl.
Arrangements were under the direction of Knesek Funeral Home in Wallis.
